DIY cheap backyard ideas

Don’t believe you have to travel far and wide to discover opportunities. The best opportunities will always be found in your own back yard, and not half way around the world in someone else’s backyard. You have to look for them, however.

Glow in the dark pathway
We all love the idea of a pathway made of flatten rocks and green grass or tiny pebbles around them.

DIY cheap backyard ideas
Grass and pebble, both look great in pathways during the day. But you can make the pathway look even better at night by just painting glow-in-the-dark paint on the rocks. You can keep touching up every now and then if you see the paint getting off.

Glow pebbles
These glow-in-the-dark pebbles come in blue and green color mostly, but you can also find them in purple or any other color you like. You can place them around the walk or to border anything in your backyard. They will glow in the dark and twinkle in the sunlight making your backyard look priceless day and night.

Fire pit
You can either make your own fire pit by getting rocks, bricks, and wood yourself and arranging them the way you want as per the size and style you have decided, or you can buy a fire pit kit from a shop, or even online and just assemble it in your backyard.

Small lake
You can dig a big hole of any shape and size you like. Tile the insides of the hole or cover them with rocks and fill water in it. Make sure to take care of drainage so you are also able to clean the water regularly. You can give it a natural look too but planting bushes and plants near it.

Make your own pathway
You no longer need to buy rocks of fixed size and shape for your backyard pathway, you can now make them using cement and a stencil. You can make your own stencil using wood. Once you have a stencil ready, you can cover a small portion at a time with cement and press stencil on the cement so the design gets engraved in the cement.

Do your own research on these ideas and add your own sparkle to your backyard.
