Touch ID
Touch ID sensor is one of the star features of iPad Air 2, which is also being used in all the iPhones lineup since 2013.
Built into the home button, the Touch ID of iPad Air 2 allows easy login. Supporting five fingerprints, the touch ID allows you to assign it to five different people, thus giving them access to the tablet. However, it doesn’t have a built-in NFC, and therefore makes it difficult to make transactions using Apple Pay. The company also insists that any kind of data is neither stored nor transferred anywhere. Fingerprint data is also always secured. If there is any need for authentication for Touch ID, the requestor will get prior intimation regarding the same.

A switch for rotation lock on the right-hand side has been removed which can now be used only for up and down of the volume. On the upper right corner, there is a button for sleep and wake.
