The Beauty Changes Lives Foundation (BCL) established by the American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS) is supported by a group of cosmetologists, product manufacturers, and educators, etc. The BCL is a non- profit and charitable organization which helps increase the scope of cosmetology and promotes it as a viable career choice. The Empire Beauty School and Walla Walla Community College in Washington are in association with the AACS and help students apply for both federal and privately supported grants.

- THE GREAT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM- This program was founded in the memory of Alice Madden Barton, mother of the CEO of Great Clips. This scholarship is offered to those who want to pursue a career in cosmetology and barbering. Great Scholarship has the flexibility of being used in the USA or Canada.
- BEAUTY SCHOOLS DIRECTORY COSMETOLOGY SCHOLARSHIP- This scholarship offers $2500 for cosmetology school. It can be used nationwide and is awarded four times in a year.
- THE JOE FRANCIS HAIRCARE SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION- It was established by Flo Francis, wife of Joe Francis and his associates, in the year 1994. This foundation was built keeping in mind of the deserving students who wish to follow a career path in cosmetology but are unable to do so due to lack of financial aid.
